The recent heavy rains in San Diego have destabilized the north slope of the canyon just outside the chapel. If left unattended, this could compromise the structural integrity of the Chapel patio and stairways. Therefore, immediate action is planned, as we are currently in the rainy season and wish to protect our property.
To that end, this work will begin on Monday, January 26, 2026, with the Temple grounds closed on weekdays. Evening classes and meditations will continue as scheduled, as will all Sunday services and weekend events. Consult our online calendar for all planned events. The work is expected to take approximately six weeks.
