Service Announcements for September 6th
Thank you for being a part of our service. If you would like to know more about Self-Realization Fellowship or this Temple, the Information Table on the upper patio has free literature and useful tools for everyone. Volunteers there can answer your general questions. You can also visit our website, sandiegotemple.org, for the latest news on Temple events. There you’ll also find links to join online meditations, view inspirational services and apply for the SRF Lessons. The Lessons give detailed instructions on how to meditate and live a spiritually balanced life.
Book Room News
“Journey with Paramahansa Yogananda”, by Sri Daya Mata—which was mentioned by Brother Chidananda during Convocation in August–is now available for purchase in our Book room! Also in stock are the beautiful 2027 Wall Calendars and Inner Reflections Planners. Our Book room is open after both services. Be sure to stop by soon!
Lesson Study
The Lesson Study group will meet this afternoon at 12:30 on the stage in the meditation gardens. We are currently finishing Lesson 79 and will begin Lesson 80, “How Meditation Brings You Joy and Knowledge of God”. Please bring both lessons or some proof verifying that you are an SRF Lesson student. Please be assured that you may attend the lesson study even if you have not yet received the lesson that is being studied.
Temple Service Day
Everyone is invited to join us at the Temple Service Day on Saturday, September 12th. Starting at 9:00 AM, we offer a continental breakfast, then tasks are performed until noon. A Meditation will be held from noon until 12:30 PM in the Chapel. At the conclusion of a wonderful day of service, a delicious vegetarian lunch will be served. We look forward to sharing a day of service and fellowship with all who attend.
How-to-Live Classes for Youth
Self-Realization Fellowship is pleased to announce the Fall session of online How-to-Live classes for children and teens, which will be held September 12th through December 12th.
Registration is now open and information is available on the flyers at the Information Table or in the Sunday School area.
Regional SRF Picnic
Please join us on Sunday, September 20th, from 12:30 to 4 p.m. for our annual Temple picnic! San Diego Temple devotees will join Encinitas Temple and Escondido Meditation Center devotees for divine fellowship, and a delicious veggie burger lunch prepared for everyone.
No need to bring any potluck items. There will be games for all ages, entertainment by the Encinitas Sunday School and teens, and stories about our Guru shared by an SRF minister. You can find more information on our temple website at sandiegotemple.org.
