Service Announcements for February 15th
Thank you for being a part of our service. If you would like to know more about Self-Realization Fellowship or this Temple, the Information Table on the upper patio has free literature and useful tools for everyone. Volunteers there can answer your general questions. You can also visit our website, sandiegotemple.org, for the latest news on Temple events. There you’ll also find links to join online meditations, view inspirational services and apply for the SRF Lessons. The Lessons give detailed instructions on how to meditate and live a spiritually balanced life.
Temple Grounds Closure
Construction work continues on the North slope of the canyon and the Temple grounds will remain closed on weekdays for about 4 more weeks. All evening events and weekend services during this time will be held as scheduled. Thank you for your cooperation; we will announce when the grounds reopen to the public. Please check the temple website for additional information at sandiegotemple.org.
If you would like to offer your support for these necessary repairs, just place your donations in the white envelopes in the chair back pocket, or use the QR code on the card located there.
Lesson Study
The Lesson Study is cancelled today. We will begin our study of Lesson 75, “How to Develop Intuition Consciously”, next Sunday. Please bring that lesson or some proof verifying that you are an SRF Lesson student. You may still attend the lesson study meetings even if you have not yet received the lesson that is being studied.
Temple Service Day
Everyone is invited to join us at the Temple Service Day on Saturday, February 21st. Starting at 9:00 AM, we offer a continental breakfast, then tasks are performed until noon. A Meditation will be held from noon until 12:30 PM in the Chapel. At the conclusion of a wonderful day of service, a delicious vegetarian lunch will be served. We look forward to sharing a day of service and fellowship with all who attend.
Ribbon Cutting Event
All are warmly invited to the official ribbon cutting ceremony reopening our newly renovated Meditation Gardens on Saturday, February 28th at 2:00 p.m. This formal dedication marks the return of this sacred space for meditation and reflection. Following the ceremony, our temple’s Young Adults group will share: Ever New Joy, a collection
of spiritually uplifting comedic skits, which will initiate the new stage! Volunteers are needed for this joyous event. Please sign up at the Volunteer table upstairs after the service.
Volunteers Needed!
We have more opportunities to serve! Paramahansa Yogananda said, “Service is one of the best investments for expansion of consciousness. When you do for others… it is one way…to cultivate Christ Consciousness.” Your help is greatly needed. We have a need for volunteers on the Cleaning Committee.
