Service Announcements for May 10th
Happy Mother’s Day and thank you for being a part of our service. If
you would like to know more about Self-Realization Fellowship or this
Temple, the Information Table on the upper patio has free literature
and useful tools for everyone. Volunteers there can answer your
general questions. You can also visit our website, sandiegotemple.org,
for the latest news on Temple events. There you’ll also find links to join
online meditations, view inspirational services and apply for the SRF
Lessons. The Lessons give detailed instructions on how to meditate and
live a spiritually balanced life.
Commemorative Service
Today we honor the birthday of our Param guru, Sri Yukteswar. There
will be a commemorative service beginning at 7 PM tonight. It is
customary to bring a flower as a symbol of devotion and a donation
enclosed in an envelope as a symbol of loyalty. All are welcome to
attend.
Sunday School Family Event
Today parents and children are joining in a special Family Event with
our minister, Brother Padmananda, in celebration of Mother’s Day.
Refreshments will be served following the family program, starting at
12:00 PM. Weather permitting, the event will take place on the outdoor
stage.
Encinitas Retreat
The Encinitas Temple is holding a silent minister-led weekend retreat at
The Oaks in Ramona beginning May 29 through May 31 st and extend
an invitation to members of this temple to join them. To learn more

Pilgrimage – Save the Date
The San Diego Temple is chartering a bus for a pilgrimage on
Saturday, June 6 th to Paramahansaji’s Crypt at Forest Lawn and to the
Hollywood Temple! Tickets will go on sale next Sunday, May 17 th, after
both temple services. We expect tickets to sell quickly so be sure to
buy one early!
Monks’ Kirtan
On Saturday, May 30 th , we will host the monks’ Kirtan group. Please
join us for an afternoon of devotional chanting and meditation. This
festive and uplifting event will take place in our new meditation
gardens. Afterward a delicious Indian meal, prepared by temple
devotees, will be served. Be sure to dress for the occasion!
Volunteers are needed for setup and decorating on Friday, May 29 th
and for setup, takedown and food service on Saturday, May 30 th.

Ox Yoke
Good news! We have just learned that the beautiful SRF Ox Yoke
Retreat in the Twenty-Nine Palms desert will be open year-round!
Please go to the Information Table for more details and to find out how
to reserve some time for a personal spiritual retreat at this much-loved
location in the high desert.
Lesson Study
The Lesson Study class is cancelled today in observance of Mother’s
Day. Study of Lesson 77 will resume next Sunday at 12:30 PM.
