Thank you for being a part of our service. If you would like to know more about Self-Realization Fellowship or this Temple, the Information Table on the upper patio has free literature and useful tools for everyone. Volunteers there can answer your general questions. You can also visit our website, sandiegotemple.org, for the latest news on Temple events. There you’ll also find links to join online meditations, view inspirational services and apply for the SRF Lessons. The Lessons give detailed instructions on how to meditate and live a spiritually balanced life.
SRF Worldwide Convocation 2026
The 2026 Self-Realization Fellowship World Convocation will be held August 2nd through August 8th. Convocation offers you a transformative weeklong program of classes on Paramahansa Yogananda’s “how-to-live” teachings and meditation techniques, guided group meditations, kirtan and more. You can still sign up to attend in-person and/or on-line events!

San Diego Temple Historical Tours
At the conclusion of the Annual SRF Worldwide Convocation, historic tours of the San Diego Temple will be offered on Sunday, August 9th. We are preparing to host over 200 Convocation visitors for the Pilgrimage Tour that day and will need volunteers on Saturday, August 8th, beginning at 10 AM to help setup, decorate and assist with food prep for the August 9th Pilgrimage Tour. Preparations should be complete by 1 PM. Please sign up at the Volunteer Table.
Did you know that Paramahansaji knew on his first viewing of this property that it was destined to house his San Diego Self-Realization Fellowship Temple? Members and friends of this temple are welcome to join us TODAY for a 20-minute historic tour of the temple and grounds. Please go to the History Committee’s table on the upper patio after both services to learn more and to pick up your tickets!
An extended hospitality tea will be available for all today on the lawn area adjacent to the Teen Cottage. Please enjoy the refreshments however the tour volunteers appreciate your consideration as they set up for the event, which begins at 1:00 PM.
Encinitas Hermitage
The Hermitage will be open today from 12:00 to 2:00 PM. If you wish to make a reservation, please do so by visiting the Encinitas Temple website (www.encinitastemple.org), or you may inquire about availability at the Encinitas Ashram Visitors Center office after 11 AM. On Sunday, August 9th, the meditation gardens will be closed for SRF’s Convocation Pilgrimage.
Babaji Commemorative Service
We will honor Mahavatar Babaji on Saturday, July 25th with a commemorative service beginning at 7:00 PM. It is customary to bring a flower as a symbol of devotion and a donation enclosed in an envelope as a symbol of loyalty. All are welcome to participate in this sacred event.
